A change of season is finally upon us! It is said that “Fashion imitates art, and art imitates life” and so it is no surprise that when seasons change, so should trends and clothing. Dune London South Africa hosted their Autumn/Winter press preview at the ever-stylish Spasie underground restaurant in Cape Town, an apt location to preview a collection that has elements of timelessness while staying contemporary.
This season, Dune has developed their collections around the concept of reinvention, the concept was evident in the design as we see elements such as silhouettes, colour palettes and hardware that are reminiscent of bygone eras tied with modern-day design and trends.
The Modern Icon collection is for the corporate woman, practical while stylish using sleek, clean lines. With a muted colour palette and the use of soft leather it truly has the potential to bring gentle femininity to corporate dressing.
The 70’s Edit is quite the opposite with a deep tan and red colour palette compared to the black and brown in the Modern Icon collection. This collection embodies casual flair and playful versatility, plus we’re so glad to see that fringe is back for another round this season!
The Midnight Renaissance collection has a classic look, which is great for the evening.
The colour palette is equally dramatic as it is luxurious elements such as intricate embroidery, gem stones, beads, high-shine satin and statement embellishments make for footwear that is bound to turn heads.
To go along with the fabulous footwear, there is also a new collection of accessories and handbags that pair effortlessly with the footwear collections, these are a few of our favourites:
If you’re keen to get your hands on any of the pieces from the Autumn/Winter range, Dune London is available at Sandton City, Canal Walk, Centurion Mall, Rosebank Mall, Baywest Mall and Highveld Mall as well as selected Edgars stores.
Thanks so much Dune London South Africa for hosting such a fabulous event and keeping us up to date with the latest in footwear and accessories,
Ray and Donna xx
