Fragrance Review: Dior Addict EDT

January 16, 2015

When it comes to fashion and beauty the house of Dior is relevant and sought after both worlds. The “addict” label on an array of their perfumes, and beauty products is no different, and remains dynamic according not only to the seasons, but also to trends.

The “Addict” Collection – in my opinion- is a good middle ground between the youthful, fruity scent of the “Miss Dior” collection, and the mysterious, more mature “Poison” collection.

I was recently gifted with Dior Addict Eau de Toilette – launched in 2014 it’s an updated version of Dior Addict Eau de Parfum fragrance from 2012 that served as a reinterpretation of the original Addict fragrance from 2002.

I have loved the Dior addict fragrance campaign since I laid eyes on it in French Vogue, early in 2014 – so I was really excited to try it!

With top notes of Sicilian Mandarin, middle notes of Jasmine Sambac and Tunisian Nersoli and base notes of Vanilla and Sandalwood, it has a fresh scent that evolves throughout the day.

I expected the citrus base note to be a lot more prominent, but the fragrance develops fast, and the floral middle notes essentially ‘carry’ the perfume.

I’m a huge fan of Dior, and the Addict Eau de Toilette proved to me once again why they are leaders in high-end beauty products. A floral and feminine fragrance that is suitable to carry from day to night is what I look for – especially in summer – and this scent ticks all the boxes.

Happy Friday everyone!
