Harringtons is a classic cocktail lounge and boutique bar situated on Harrington street in the the East City area. The space is decorated in true Art Deco style with elaborate wall paper, beautiful frames and velvet couches. It’s the perfect place to got to after work, for great cocktails and tapas. On a Friday evenings there are DJs playing music to get you in the mood for the weekend.
The extensive tapas menu offers a range of different options ranging from decadent Oysters to Cape Malay style Samoosas and Classic Sliders to Desserts and Macroons if you’re in the mood something sweet. The Tapas menu is available from Wednesday – Saturday from 4pm till late prepared by Chef Sheldon Raju, known for his work at the Chefs Warehouse.
This cocktail bar along with SurfaRosa and District all occupy the space which used to be assembly but now has been completely transformed. So if Harringtons in not the place for you, there are various other options in the very same building.
Harringtons is reasonably priced, compared to other place with a similar caliber Cape Town. Cocktails average at around R70 and tapas vary depending on the dish. The ambience created by the decor and professional staff makes Harringtons a truly 5 star experience, and is gorgeous and classy without being stuffy and pretentious.
We absolutely love the space and can’t wait to return for a drink or two and a razzle with friends.
