It’s 5 days into spring, and the inevitable spring clean is on the proverbial horizon. When it comes to spring cleaning, it all goes fine and well until I get to my closet. I’ll be the first to admit that I own too much clothing; I’ve narrowed the reasons down to three facts:
1: I never grow. Like, Ever. I’ve lost some weight and have given away everything that was way too big, and had some special pieces made smaller by my mom and sister. And by some, I mean half of those. Oops.
2: I tend to purchase less typically fashionable items, and more items that would fall into the “essentials” category, so a lot of my clothing (especially my vintage collection) is timeless. I don’t actually need less clothes, I just need more space.
3. I love shopping, and I love clothes. I don’t have a particular style, so I tend to buy a little bit of everything.
Everyone collects something, okay…
So anyway, the last time I re-organised my closet, I devised a little system that seems to work well, which I thought was worth sharing, so if you struggle with spring cleaning, have a look.
