Music Mondays : Sinead Harnett

January 11, 2015

Sinead Harnett first popped onto my radar with her strong vocals on her two collaboration tracks (“Baby” and “Hide”) with the UK drum and Bass band, Rudimental.

Upon hearing her unique voice I searched sound cloud, and came across her channel, I was pleasantly surprised.

Her ‘spotlight’ page features songs from her two EP’s “Got Me”(2013) and “N.O.W” (2014) as well as some collaborations with UK music giants such as Snakehips, Rudimental, Ryan Hemsworth and Disclosure.

Sinead Harnett has a fresh take on traditional soul vocals that blends seamlessly into deep house beats, without seeming like she’s trying too hard. I’ve been listening to her music all the time, while studying, driving, relaxing and even in the gym. Even if you’re not particularly fond of deep house, her music is still worth a listen (you may be pleasantly surprised).

A special mention to her collaboration track with British neo-funk giants Snakehips, titled “No Other Way” (here)
