Review: L.A. Girl “Nudes” Palette

February 23, 2015

I’ve been on the look out for a make up palette with a large selection of colours for awhile now, when I came across this one last week I knew I had to buy it. I hadn’t heard much about L.A. Girl’s palettes but their pro longwear concealer is raved about on all beauty blogs and YouTube channels.

The packaging looks very similar to the Urban Decay Palettes and the colours resemble the Naked 3 palette. There are a total of 12 different colours including 9 metallic shimmery colours and 3 matte shades. The lip opens and closes with a magnetic system and the makeup pods and brush applicator rest in a plastic base. The outer casing is cardboard, which I was a bit disappointed about, but at R52.50 the makeup is still worth it.

The actual eye shadow is extremely smooth on the skin and when applying there is limited fall out which is nice especially for the darker colours. Because the make up is so smooth it doesn’t appear as pigmented as shown in the pallete however it can be layered on and used for blending colours together as a transition shade.

All in all I must say that I am really happy with this little, treasure especially at the low price. There are another 3 palettes in the range – along with this one totaling at four – and I definitely think that I need at least another one for my collection.

L.A.Girl is available at Dischem Stores
